When conducting remote radiation therapy on the mediastinal lymph nodes, damage to the heart, thoracic aorta and lungs is possible. Such late cardiovascular complications as damage to the valvular apparatus and progressive atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries, leading to obstruction with the subsequent development of coronary heart disease, more often occurred after the use of extended radiation fields and high total focal doses. The article presents a clinical case of a 64-year-old patient with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, who successfully underwent staged cardiac surgery for severe aortic stenosis and progressive atherosclerosis with calcification of the coronary arteries due to radiation exposure.</p>
В статье представлено клиническое наблюдение пациента 64 лет с лимфомой Ходжкина, которому было успешно выполнено этапное кардиохирургическое лечение по поводу развившегося тяжелого аортального стеноза и прогрессирующего атеросклероза с кальцинозом коронарных артерий вследствие лучевого воздействия.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>cardiooncology</kwd><kwd>Hodgkin’s lymphoma</kwd><kwd>coronary heart disease</kwd><kwd>chronic heart failure</kwd><kwd>aortic valve</kwd><kwd>coronary arteries</kwd><kwd>coronary heart disease</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>кардиоонкология</kwd><kwd>лимфома Ходжкина</kwd><kwd>ишемическая болезнь сердца</kwd><kwd>хроническая сердечная недостаточность</kwd><kwd>аортальный клапан</kwd><kwd>коронарные артерии</kwd><kwd>ишемическая болезнь сердца</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was carried out within the framework of research FURG-2024-0016</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена в рамках НИР FURG-2024-0016</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>De Vries S., Haaksma M.L., Jóźwiak K. et al.
